General Assembly and Executive Committee
General Assembly is the supreme body of NPIA. It formulates and approves the budget, policies and programs of NPIA for upcoming periods. It also provides necessary suggestions and guidelines on the progress and plan of action. It is held annually. The General Assembly elects the executive committee for a three years' period, which consists of 11 members excluding Immediate Past President. (Immediate Past President is the ex-officio member of executive committee). The Executive Committee constitutes of a President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Treasurer and Secretary along with six executive members. Executive Committee plans and manages all the activities and functions of NPIA. It evaluates the various activities of NPIA during the completed period.

Different Sub-committees
NPIA forms various sub-committees as and when required comprising of it's executive members. At present, NPIA has formed four sub-committees - Policy Formation Committee, Trade Promotion Committee, Financial Committee and Program Management Committee. Each sub committee is being led by a Coordinator. Such sub committees discuss and study various aspects of the works to be done so as to complete stipulated jobs within scheduled time period and accordingly perform their specific functions.

Member Category
NPIA has grouped the membership into four categories, which are as follows.

• Life Member:
  • General members of NPIA may obtain the life membership.
• Ordinary Member:
  • Firms registered in any authorized body of Government of Nepal related to production, sale, export, of pashmina import of raw materials & equipments etc., may become its Ordinary Member as per the provisions of NPIA's constitution.
• Honorary Member:
  • NPIA may provide Honorary Membership to any individual/organization with outstanding knowledge and experience and who has contributed appreciably for the betterment of pashmina sector.
• Founder Member:
  • NPIA constitution recognizes those members as "Founder Member" who were engaged in its formation and played active role at the time of it's establishment.
